A penthouse above Lake Constance, where the view is not framed but continued. Frameless Sky-Frame Plain sliding windows run around the living area and open it to the lake, the light and the changing weather across its full width.

The floor carries the same idea. Terrazzo runs through the interior, white limestone from the Croatian island of Brač covers the wrap-around terrace, and one continuous joint pattern connects both. Inside and outside read as a single surface, held apart only by glass.

Because the glazing runs all the way around, the apartment takes on the horizontal calm of a modern bungalow. Daylight enters from every side, and the terrace adds a second, open living space around the entire floor plan.

The material palette stays deliberately quiet. Mutina tiles from the Rombini collection by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec set the accents, Antolini natural stone defines the bathrooms, and bespoke metal fronts by Denkinger give the built-in elements their character. At the centre of the living area sits an individually designed kitchen, matched to the overall concept.

Furnishing follows the same restraint: design classics by Eames, Baxter, Fritz Hansen, Jean Prouvé and Vitra, chosen to give the rooms character without competing with the view.
