In 1816, Hamburg-based ship broker John Fontenay acquired a unique plot of land on the shores of the Alster lake, right in the heart of the city, where today The Fontenay Hamburg Hotel is under construction. Around 4,620 square metres of Sky-Frame windows will be installed in the luxury hotel.
