Letzigrund Zürich

World records have been celebrated in Letzigrund, Zurich no less than 24 times. Armin Hary ran the legendary 10.0 second hundred metres here in 1960, and in the summer of 2006 Jamaican Asafa Powell showed that it can be done even faster in 9.77 seconds. The old Letzigrund has now served its purpose and is being given a facelift. Sky-Frame is playing its part, providing an optimum view with an 80-metre glass front in the VIP area, which may well be another record.
